Among some of the first artists Sam Phillips recorded at Sun Records in 1950s Memphis, Big Walter Horton stands out as a talented blues harmonica player. He honed his talent throughout the 1930s and 1940s in the Mississippi Delta, and the recordings on Sun Records Originals: Easy capture the energy of his collaboration with Sam Phillips in honor of Sam’s 100th birthday. Highlights from the Blues Hall of Famer include a remastered version of “Easy” and an alternate take of “Grandmother Got Grandfather Told.” Releasing in conjunction with his labelmate and fellow R&B/blues artist Big Walter Horton's Sun Records Originals release in honor of International Blues Music Day on 8/6.
